How does the battery in the iPhone 7 compare to the 6s? Marginal improvements have been made to the battery life in the latest iteration of the iPhone and iPhone plus. With battery life improving as much as a few hours.

For standby and talk the differences are negligible, with talk time seeming to have decreased between the 6s Plus and 7 Plus. Improvements have been made in daily use, such as internet browsing or audio. However, improvements are only an hour or two at best.

Verdict: Not much changed to see here. Upgrade for features, but do not expect much improvement in battery life.

German utility EWE unveiled plans to build a massive underground battery using redox flow technology. The technology will be perfected first in large plastic containers before moving to the underground salt-cavern. Once complete it will be the world’s largest battery. EWE uses salt-caverns currently for storage of natural gas.

The project is expected to be completed by 2023.
